Enchantments, Manastones, & Goldstones guide

Enhancing items allows you to customize your armor and weapons in order to fulfill your role within the world of Atreia. There are several ways you can enhance weapons and armor. The first is through Socketing Manastones; second with Enchantment Stones, and third with Godstones. Each type of enhancement affects the item it is placed on differently. Manastones add a particular attribute to an item, such as Hit Points, Crit chance, and more. Enchantment Stones increase specific attributes of an item depending on what type of item it is. Godstones add abilities to weapons that have a chance to affect the target with each attack.

Enchantment Stones
Enchantment stones, unlike manastones, improve specific attributes on weapons and armor based on the type of item they are applied to. These add a plus to the item they are applied to and can be used several times over to continuously improve the item they affect.

To find enchantment stones, one must use a set of Extraction Tools on an item. This will destroy the item but will give you 1 or more enhancment stones. The level of these stones will be based on the level of the item they are extracted from. The higher the level of stone used in comparison to the item they are used on, less likely the enchant will fail.

However, if an item is already enchanted and an attempt is made to enchant it further and the attempt fails, the item will lose one level of enchantment.

Manastones
Socketing armor and weapons gives you a wide variety of attributes that will affect your character. These effects can be anything from extra health or mana, to how often you critically hit or how accurate you are. These items can be found on most creatures throughout Atreia and, in some cases, can be traded in for other manastones by a repeatable quest.

In order to add a manastone to an item the item must have an empty manastone slot available. Once a slot is available simply right click the mana stone and mouse over the item you wish to enhance, then left click the item. An animation will begin along with a
timer. If you are successful, the manastone and its buff will now be listed in that item’s attributes.

Note: If the socketing fails, the manastone used will be lost. Also, if the item had any manastones previously placed on it those will be lost as well. A confirmation will appear to make sure you wish to attempt adding the additional manastones.

In the event you wish to replace a socketed manastone on an item with a new or different one, there are vendors in towns that, for a price, will remove a stone. This will allow you to attempt to socket the new manastone. Just remember, once a manastoneis removed from an item, it will be lost.

The following list shows all Manastones and their possible values:

Godstones
Godstones are the last type of enhancement that can be added to an item. However, these can only be socketed to weapons. Once applied to a weapon, the Godstone gives it the ability to affect an enemy in a variety of ways depending on the Godstone used.

In order to add a Godstone to a weapon, one must visit the Godstone vendor in Sanctum or
Pandeamonium. Once there drag and drop the weapon you wish to enhance into the Godstone Socket Target slot. Then drag the Godstone you wish to apply into the Godstone Socket Info slot. You will then see the description of the effect that will be placed on the weapon as well as the cost to apply the Godstone. If you are sure you wish to enhance the weapon with the chosen Godstone hit the "Okay" button.

Once "Okay" is clicked a confirmation will appear to be sure you wish to do this. It also informs you that any previous Godstone applied to the weapon will be lost.

After a Godstone has been applied to a weapon there will be a particle effect added to it. The type of effect applied is based on the Godstone and the attribute it has added to the weapon.

Great way to gather with ease!

In my hours of gathering, and macro research, I have come up with an extremely easy way to set up macros on Aion which make gathering almost as easy as using a bot.

For populated areas like Patamor Thicket on the Asmo. side, the popular things to gather are Twisp Fibers, Vinna, and Theonia. I will use them as an example for some macros.

Macro 1:

/Select Twisp
/Attack

Macro 2:

/Select Vinna
/Attack

Macro 3:

/Select Theonia
/Attack

Once you have made these macros, simply drag them to your quickbar. When you are in the gathering area, click on any of the macros, and you will auto-select, run to, and begin gathering the nearest location of the particular item you want. It's great to use this method in an area which you do not get aggro in, as you can just click a macro after you have gathered your current point, and run directly to the next.

Note: You must be in /Select range of the item in order to properly use the macro. If you aren't selecting anything, move a little closer and the macro will begin to work its magic!

DECRASE OF LATENCY BY 80-160ms

For Windows XP:

Only requires you to change two things in the windows registry, allowing your ping to drop by 80-175MS.

Process :

Start>RUN>regedit>ENTER

1:

In the regedit window ( called "Registry Editor") find (EDIT>FIND):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic
es\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\

There will be multiple NIC interfaces listed in there, find the one you use to connect to the internet, there will be several interfaces listed (they have long names like (6DBA9DEN-7AOE-4C03-B60F-ADB1777C41D4). Click each one of them, the right one will have lots of settings in it and you will see your machines IP address listed there somewhere. Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TcpAckFrequency, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.

2:

In the regedit window ( called "Registry Editor") find (EDIT>FIND):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet
ers

Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TCPNoDelay, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.

Click Ok and close the registry editor, then reboot your PC.

That's all.

Don't forget to make a backup of your registry before.

For Windows Vista:
If you are unable to find the MSMQ subkey under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft node there is a good reason for that. Actually, by default, MSMQ subkey does not exist in Windows Vista OS. However, if you want to change it to improve ICMP (Ping) behavior, you can add it manually.

For your convenience, I provide a method here:

1) Create a new Text Document (*.txt).
2) Copy and paste the following contents (without the equal mark "===") into the Text Document.
============================================================
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters]
"TCPNoDelay"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters\OCMset up]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters\Securi ty]
"SecureDSCommunication"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters\setup]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Setup]
============================================================
3. Save and close the Document.
4. Change the file extension *.txt to *.reg. (Note: if you are unable to view the file extension, please double-click Computer, click Tools menu > Folder Options > on the View tab, clear the checkbox before "Hide extensions for known file type" > click OK.)
5. Double-click the *.reg file (Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window.) You'll get a registry editor warning stating "Are you sure you want to continue", please click Yes.
