AION 2 has already given players free pets, cosmetics, consumables, and enough launch rewards to keep the average Daeva reasonably occupied. Now NC is offering something considerably more substantial. Something that, unlike a Resurrection Spiritstone, might actually help your computer survive a particularly crowded boss encounter.
To celebrate the Global launch, NC is giving away one NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card, with players able to enter through a competition hosted on Gleam. The giveaway has been running since October 5, but time is almost up. Entries close on October 12 at 11:59 PM PDT, corresponding to October 13 at 08:59 CEST for European players.
That gives interested players one final opportunity to enter before the competition closes. And fortunately, you don't need to defeat Ludra, reach the endgame, or sacrifice your favourite Manastone to participate.
How to Enter the AION 2 RTX 5080 Giveaway
Participation is handled through NC's official AION 2 Graphics Card Giveaway page. The system allows players to earn entries by completing various activities connected to the game's Steam release and official community channels.
Each completed action awards a specific number of entries. The more eligible activities you complete, the more chances you receive in the draw.
| Activity | Entries |
|---|---|
| Play AION 2 on Steam for one hour | 10 |
| Join the official Discord | 3 |
| Follow AION 2 on YouTube | 3 |
| Follow AION 2 on Twitch | 3 |
| Follow on X (Twitter) | 1 |
| Follow on Instagram | 1 |
| Follow on TikTok | 1 |
| Follow on Facebook | 1 |
Completing every listed activity provides up to 23 entries. Playing AION 2 for one hour through Steam offers the largest individual contribution, accounting for ten entries on its own.
However, Steam gameplay is not the only way to participate. Players using NC's PURPLE launcher can still enter through the eligible community and social-media activities. The official announcement requires at least one completed action, so there is no need to complete the entire list simply to enter.
Who Can Enter the AION 2 Graphics Card Giveaway?
The competition is available to residents of the United States, Canada, and most European countries. However, NC has excluded several European countries from participation.
The excluded countries are Belgium, the Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia, Italy, and Portugal. Players living elsewhere in eligible European countries, including Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, can participate subject to the competition's full terms.
Players should still check the official Gleam conditions before submitting their entries. The giveaway is a promotional prize draw, not a guaranteed reward for completing in-game activities.
Why an RTX 5080 Is an Interesting Prize for AION 2 Players
AION 2 runs on Unreal Engine 5 and places considerable emphasis on detailed environments, spectacular spell effects, and large-scale encounters. It is also an MMORPG where hundreds of characters occasionally decide that the same location would be an excellent place to demonstrate every visual effect their class possesses.
That makes a powerful graphics card an attractive prize, particularly for players looking to improve their experience at higher resolutions. Naturally, upgrading the graphics card alone cannot fix every performance problem. Processor limitations, memory, game optimisation, and network conditions can still affect an MMORPG.
The giveaway also arrives after an extraordinary Global launch. As we reported in our coverage of AION 2's Steam player record, the game reached 397,905 concurrent Steam players shortly after becoming free-to-play on October 5.
That level of interest helps explain why NC has been running so many promotional events, although the game's reception has not been universally positive. Our recent Steam review analysis explored how the enormous launch population has been accompanied by criticism of monetisation and other aspects of the Global release.
Don't Miss the Other Free AION 2 Rewards
Even if you don't win the graphics card, there are several other launch rewards worth collecting before their respective deadlines.
Players can still redeem the TAKEFLIGHTAION2 promotional code, which provides free consumables and is scheduled to expire on October 14. Meanwhile, the Global Launch Twitch Drops campaign continues until October 16, offering additional rewards for watching eligible streams.
NC has also made the original pre-registration pet rewards available to new players, meaning there are still several opportunities to collect useful items without spending Quna.
When Does the RTX 5080 Giveaway End?
The competition closes at October 12, 2026, 11:59 PM PDT, which is October 13 at 08:59 CEST in Central Europe.
Entries must be completed before that deadline. NC is giving away a single RTX 5080, so completing every activity improves your number of entries but does not guarantee a win. Players should also follow the verification instructions provided through Gleam to ensure their participation is properly recorded.
For anyone interested, the sensible approach is to enter now rather than relying on remembering the competition tomorrow morning. There are certainly more entertaining ways to miss out on a graphics card than sleeping through a deadline.
Final Thoughts
AION 2's RTX 5080 giveaway is one of the more substantial prizes offered during the game's Global launch celebrations. One lucky winner will receive a powerful graphics card, while everybody else can continue enjoying the familiar MMORPG experience of chasing rewards with slightly less impressive odds.
With up to 23 entries available through Steam gameplay and official community activities, participation is straightforward, and even players who primarily use PURPLE have options.
Just remember that the competition ends tomorrow morning in Europe. If you're planning to enter, this is very much the moment.
After all, rare loot is one thing. A graphics card that doesn't require fighting a dungeon boss for the next six months is quite another.
