AION 2 Dimensional Invasion Guide: Event Times, Reward Keys and All Three Invasions

Atreia has never been a particularly peaceful place. Between the Balaur, the eternal rivalry between Elyos and Asmodians, and dungeon bosses that appear personally offended by your existence, there is usually something trying to kill you. AION 2's Dimensional Invasion system has simply decided to make these unpleasant encounters a little more punctual.

Every hour, another invasion arrives. Sometimes it is an army of Balaur soldiers, sometimes a cursed sword surrounded by restless spirits, and occasionally an entire collection of elemental creatures that have apparently decided their own dimension is no longer exciting enough.

AION 2 Global features three rotating Dimensional Invasion events: Beritra Air Raid, Accursed Sword and Incursion of the Spirits. They begin every hour at thirty minutes past, with a short gathering period followed by approximately ten minutes of combat. The system is listed for level-45 players and offers Centuryroot Tokens, Enhance Stones, Abyss Points and additional rewards through a daily Reward Key.

For players looking to squeeze a little more progression into their daily routine, it is one of the more convenient activities in the game. And unlike certain dungeon bosses, it has the decency to arrive on schedule.

When Does Dimensional Invasion Start?

Dimensional Invasion runs every hour at :30 server time, offering twenty-four scheduled opportunities each day. The event includes a three-minute preparation or gathering period, followed by approximately ten minutes of combat.

That places it neatly between Shugo Festival sessions, which begin on the hour. Players can complete a festival minigame, continue their usual activities and join an invasion thirty minutes later.

Activity Start Time Duration
Shugo Festival Every hour at :00 Approximately 3–5 minutes of gameplay
Dimensional Invasion Every hour at :30 3-minute gathering period and approximately 10 minutes of combat

The three invasion types share the same event schedule, but their order is not fixed in the available Global client data. You cannot reliably plan to encounter Beritra Air Raid at one particular hour and Accursed Sword at another.

The safest approach is to follow the event notification and countdown inside the game. The regular :30 schedule is useful for planning, but the client remains the final authority if maintenance or a future patch changes event availability.

Our AION 2 Weekly Reset Guide explains how these shorter activities fit alongside dungeons, seasonal missions and other limited progression systems.

How to Join Dimensional Invasion

The Global content navigator lists Dimensional Invasion as a level-45 activity. The event and its Reward Key system are associated with the Abyss unlock, making it something players should begin exploring as they reach endgame.

Getting started is reasonably straightforward:

  1. Reach level 45 and unlock the relevant content.
  2. Watch for the Dimensional Invasion notification at thirty minutes past the hour.
  3. Use the notification to locate the active event and its entrance.
  4. Enter during the gathering period.
  5. Complete the invasion objectives and defeat the invading enemies.
  6. Check your rewards and decide whether to spend a Dimensional Invasion Reward Key.

Elyos entrances are associated with Verteron, while Asmodian entrances are located in Altgard. Each faction has its own version of the three events, so you will be fighting alongside members of your own faction rather than participating in a traditional Elyos-versus-Asmodians battlefield.

The available client data lists level 45 as the normal content requirement. Although some underlying reward tables contain lower-level entries, they do not establish that lower-level characters can enter through the standard Global system.

All Three Dimensional Invasion Events Explained

Every invasion follows the same broad idea: enter the event area, defeat waves of enemies and overcome the main threat before the encounter ends. The difference lies in the enemies and the rather unfortunate circumstances that brought them to Atreia in the first place.

Beritra Air Raid

The Balaur have returned, bringing an airborne assault force from the Beritra Brigade. A Dredgion Transporter signals the invasion, and players must fight through waves of Drakan soldiers, warmages and other attackers.

The encounter features Air Raiders Captain Tetrata as its principal named boss. Expect a straightforward military invasion rather than a complicated puzzle: defeat the attacking forces, contribute to the event objectives and help bring down the captain.

Beritra Air Raid is particularly interesting because the Global client also associates certain Monolith-related rewards with this event. These are separate from the ordinary Dimensional Invasion reward pool and should not be mistaken for guaranteed drops from every completion.

Accursed Sword

Accursed Sword takes a considerably darker approach. An ancient battlefield contains a cursed weapon imprisoning the soul of a fallen Daeva. The surrounding area has become infested with hostile wraiths, and the trapped spirit is understandably less than delighted with its circumstances.

Players fight through the spectral enemies before confronting the Executor of the Magical Sword.

It is perhaps the most traditionally gothic of the three encounters, with cursed weapons, restless dead and the sort of ancient tragedy that fantasy games have been recycling since somebody first discovered that an abandoned castle looks better with a few ghosts inside.

Incursion of the Spirits

The third event takes players into AION's elemental mythology. Following the disappearance of the Empyrean Lords Kaisinel and Lumiel, the contracts binding certain spirits have weakened. Disturbances between Etheria and Atreia allow dangerous creatures to cross between the realms.

Leading the invasion is Grandios, accompanied by Fire, Water, Wind and Earth Spirits.

For Spiritmaster players, this is a rather amusing reversal of the usual arrangement. Their class spends much of its time commanding magical creatures, while here an entire collection of spirits has decided that following orders is no longer particularly fashionable.

Dimensional Invasion Rewards: What Do You Get?

There are two important reward categories: the ordinary completion rewards and the additional rewards available through a Dimensional Invasion Reward Key.

According to the Global client reward tables available in October 2026, the level-45 reward structure contains the following items:

Reward Ordinary Clear Additional Key Reward
Centuryroot Tokens 50 30, 40, 60 or 100
Enhance Stones 700 1,200
Abyss Points Not listed as a fixed common reward 800
Other Materials and Items Possible additional drops Soul Codex and other rewards listed in the key pool

The additional Centuryroot Token package is variable. The listed quantities are possible outcomes from the reward table, not four rewards granted simultaneously.

The underlying Global data assigns the greatest probability to the 30-token package, with larger quantities appearing less frequently. Equipment and other materials are likewise subject to the applicable reward rules.

Centuryroot Tokens are particularly useful because they can be spent in the Festival Shop, where players can work towards permanent character progression materials. Daevanion Crystals and Stigma Shards are among the more interesting purchases for characters still improving their builds.

Those upgrades can be valuable alongside ordinary equipment progression. Our AION 2 Fast Gearing Guide explains why permanent character improvements are often worth prioritising over expensive enhancements to equipment that may soon be replaced.

How Dimensional Invasion Reward Keys Work

Dimensional Invasion has its own Reward Key system. It is separate from Shugo Festival, even though both activities can provide Centuryroot Tokens and materials useful for character progression.

AION 2 Global adds one Dimensional Invasion Reward Key per day, with a standard storage limit of seven. The keys are counted per server, meaning characters on the same server share the available allowance.

You do not need to spend a key to enter an invasion. Instead, the key is consumed when you claim the additional key-based reward selection after participating in the event.

If you decide not to claim that selection, you can preserve your key for another attempt. This is particularly useful when you are unhappy with your performance or want to save the key for a more convenient session.

The seven-key storage limit is worth remembering. Once the allowance is full, additional daily refills cannot increase your balance. There is little reason to hoard keys indefinitely if doing so means missing future rewards.

How to Improve Your Invasion Performance

Dimensional Invasion uses a contribution-based scoring system in which damage and defeated enemies matter. Consequently, the most useful strategy is not particularly mysterious: remain active, attack relevant targets and avoid spending half the encounter running around looking for something to hit.

Classes with strong area damage can contribute effectively against enemy waves, while focused damage becomes valuable when the main boss appears. Movement and positioning still matter, especially when several enemies are active simultaneously.

For damage dealers, using a reliable rotation is more valuable than pressing every available ability whenever it lights up. Our Ranger PvE Build Guide explains how consistent damage comes from combining the right skills, buffs and cooldowns rather than relying on occasional spectacular attacks.

Support players should also concentrate on what their class does best. As our Chanter PvE Guide demonstrates, a character's real contribution can involve more than personal damage. Keeping the group functioning and supporting its damage output remain valuable, even when a particular scoreboard does not fully reflect every helpful action.

There is no need to turn a short field event into an elaborate military operation. Arriving prepared, following the objectives and contributing consistently should make each session considerably more productive.

Is Dimensional Invasion Worth Doing Every Day?

For level-45 players working on long-term progression, it is a useful addition to the daily routine. The events are short, they occur frequently and their rewards contribute to several systems that remain important beyond ordinary levelling.

The Global client also includes Dimension Defender achievements for completing 3, 10, 30, 60, 100 and 150 invasions. That gives regular participation another purpose beyond spending the daily Reward Key.

There is little reason to attend every hourly event, however. Using your daily key and completing an invasion when convenient is a sensible starting point. Additional runs can contribute towards achievements and other applicable rewards, but the best use of your time depends on what your character still needs.

For players concentrating on equipment, our AION 2 PvE Gear Progression Guide provides a useful comparison between repeatable activities, permanent improvements and the more expensive systems involved in endgame gearing.

Dimensional Invasion is a good example of AION 2 at its most approachable. It provides a short burst of group combat, a predictable schedule and rewards that can contribute to meaningful character development without requiring an entire evening.

And there is something pleasingly traditional about the arrangement. Atreia is invaded, the Daevas gather, everybody fights an assortment of unpleasant creatures, and the survivors head home with a collection of materials that will eventually become another upgrade.

Half an hour later, the world is peaceful again.

At least until the next hour.
