AION 2 Gives Free Pre-Registration Pets to Everyone Until December

If you skipped AION 2 pre-registration because you forgot, arrived late or simply did not fancy signing up for another MMO newsletter several weeks before launch, there is some very good news.

NC is giving the original AION 2 Pre-Registration and Steam Wishlist rewards to everyone.

You no longer need to have registered before launch or added AION 2 to your Steam wishlist. Any player who creates an account and logs into the Global version during the launch reward period can receive the entire package, including Pagati, another selectable pet and a chest filled with useful consumables.

That effectively turns what we originally covered as AION 2's pre-registration rewards into free launch rewards for the entire community.

You Can Get Two Free AION 2 Pets

The headline reward is the Advance: Pet Chest.

Every eligible player receives Pagati automatically and can then select one additional companion from four options:

  • Papis
  • Silver Blade Rotan
  • Konutin Worker
  • Black Smoke Murute

That means every new account can effectively start with two free pets without buying a Founder's Pack, watching Twitch or completing an event.

Pets are worth collecting even if you are not particularly interested in the cosmetic side of AION 2. Like many of the game's persistent progression systems, building your collection becomes increasingly relevant as you move deeper into the game. Our 10 AION 2 Things You Should Learn Early guide covers several of those systems that are easy to underestimate during your first few hours.

The Wishlist Chest Is Included Too

NC is also extending the old Steam Wishlist reward to everyone.

The Advance: Wishlist Chest contains:

  • 10 Resurrection Spiritstones
  • 100 Life Potions
  • 50 Healing Potions
  • 50 Return Scrolls
  • 50 Courage Scrolls
  • 50 Speed Scrolls
  • 50 Benediction Scrolls

None of this is spectacular endgame loot, but it is exactly the kind of supply bundle that makes the opening hours smoother. Resurrection Spiritstones are always useful, while the various scrolls remove some of the friction from leveling, travel and combat.

If you are beginning with the October 5 free-to-play launch, our AION 2 Before You Play guide is still a good starting checklist for classes, factions, launch rewards and the systems worth understanding before you disappear into Atreia for the evening.

You Have Until December to Claim the Rewards

The important part is that this is not a one-day launch promotion.

The reward period remains open until December 2 at 09:30 CET for European players. You simply need to create your account and log in before that deadline.

The rewards are then delivered automatically through in-game mail.

That mail has its own expiration date: December 9 at 09:30 CET. So logging in qualifies you for the rewards, but you should still collect the mail rather than leaving two pets sitting in a mailbox until December and discovering that Atreia apparently operates a strict parcel-return policy.

This Is Separate From the Other Launch Rewards

The pet and Wishlist rewards stack with AION 2's other launch promotions.

You can still redeem the TAKEFLIGHTAION2 code for additional free consumables, while the Global Launch Twitch Drops provide another reward track with cosmetics and progression items.

New players also have an entirely fresh set of worlds available through the October 5 AION 2 Launch Servers, so there is now very little reason to feel that arriving after Advanced Access means starting permanently behind everybody else.

You Did Not Miss the Pre-Registration Rewards After All

This is ultimately a very player-friendly change.

Pre-registration rewards normally exist specifically to reward people who were paying attention before launch. NC has instead decided that AION 2's Global opening is a better excuse to simply give them to everybody.

So if you are installing AION 2 for the first time today, you have not missed Pagati. You have not missed the selectable companion. You have not missed the Wishlist Chest.

You just need to log in.

For once, procrastination has been fully supported by the developers.

Last Chance for AION 2 Advanced Access Twitch Drops Before October 5

AION 2's free-to-play launch arrives tomorrow, but before everybody charges through the gates there is one small piece of launch administration worth finishing.

The current Advanced Access Twitch Drops expire on October 5 at 08:59 CEST. That means players have only a limited window left to collect the first launch campaign rewards, including 500,000 Kina, 5,000 Enhancement Stones, Cyber Glasses and the White Headset.

The first War for Atreia Twitch campaign ends at exactly the same time, offering another set of rewards for watching participating creators. After that, AION 2 switches over to a completely new Global Launch Twitch Drops campaign running through October 16.

Advanced Access Twitch Drops End October 5

The current all-channel campaign can be progressed by watching any eligible AION 2 stream on Twitch.

The rewards are:

  • 15 minutes: Cyber Glasses (Skin: Eyewear)
  • 30 minutes: Customization Voucher
  • 45 minutes: 2 Odyle Energy
  • 1 hour: 3 Soul Codex
  • 2 hours: 5,000 Enhancement Stones
  • 4 hours: 10 Resurrection Spiritstones
  • 6 hours: 500,000 Kina
  • 8 hours: White Headset

The campaign closes at 08:59 CEST on October 5, so players starting from zero now need the full eight hours if they want every reward. If you have already made partial progress, Twitch should continue from your existing campaign total rather than forcing you to begin again.

We previously covered the account setup in our AION 2 Twitch Drops launch guide. If your accounts are already linked and rewards are progressing normally, there is no reason to change anything immediately before the campaign ends.

War for Atreia Has a Separate Reward Track

There is also a second campaign running at the same time.

War for Atreia Series 1 requires viewers to watch one of the 60 participating War for Atreia creators rather than simply any AION 2 channel. This campaign began October 2 and also expires October 5 at 08:59 CEST.

The reward track is:

  • 30 minutes: Appearance Change Voucher
  • 1 hour: 10 Soul Codex
  • 2 hours: 10 Resurrection Spiritstones
  • 4 hours: 10 Mysterious Pet Chests

That last reward is particularly worth noticing. Ten Mysterious Pet Chests for four hours of viewing is considerably more interesting than leaving the campaign half-finished because you assumed the ordinary Advanced Access track was the only one running.

War for Atreia has become a major part of AION 2's launch push, with Elyos and Asmodian creator teams competing across multiple regions. We have already covered how War for Atreia scoring works and the wider creator competition.

A New Twitch Drops Campaign Starts With Global Launch

Missing the Advanced Access campaign does not mean Twitch Drops disappear tomorrow.

NC has already confirmed a separate Global Launch Rewards campaign running from October 5 through October 16. It replaces the current reward track with another ten-hour progression ladder.

The Global Launch rewards are:

  • 1 hour: 4 Odyle Energy
  • 2 hours: Skin Chest x10
  • 3 hours: 5,000 Enhancement Stones
  • 4 hours: Head Bow skin
  • 6 hours: 2 Soul Codex: Reset
  • 8 hours: 10 Resurrection Spiritstones
  • 10 hours: Adorable Young Elim shoulder cosmetic

So October 5 is not really the end of AION 2 Twitch Drops. It is more like a shift change. The Advanced Access rewards disappear in the morning, and the next campaign takes over with a completely different reward list.

Do Not Confuse Twitch Drops With the Other Free Rewards

AION 2 currently has enough overlapping launch rewards to make a spreadsheet feel increasingly reasonable.

The Twitch campaigns are separate from the free TAKEFLIGHTAION2 launch code, which provides consumables simply for redeeming the coupon. They are also separate from pre-registration rewards, Founder's Pack bonuses and the ongoing community launch events.

If you are joining tomorrow, our AION 2 Before You Play guide remains the easiest place to check the various launch jobs before creating your character.

You may also want to decide where that character is going to live before launch. NC has now published the complete October 5 AION 2 Launch Server list, including all Elyos and Asmodian pairings across Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.

Check Your Progress Before Going to Bed

The practical advice today is simple.

Open your Twitch Drops inventory, check how many hours you already have on the Advanced Access campaign and see whether War for Atreia Series 1 is active as well.

If you still want the White Headset, 500,000 Kina or the ten Mysterious Pet Chests, 08:59 CEST on October 5 is the deadline. After that, those first campaigns are gone and Global Launch rewards take their place.

AION 2 becomes free-to-play tomorrow.

Apparently the final Advanced Access boss is remembering to leave Twitch running long enough.

AION 2 Gives Every Player a Free Launch Gift: Redeem TAKEFLIGHTAION2 Now

AION 2 has reached number one on Steam's global Top Sellers chart, so NC has decided to celebrate in the traditional MMO fashion: by giving everybody some free stuff.

Players can now redeem the promotional code TAKEFLIGHTAION2 for a small bundle of useful launch items. The code became active following the October 1 maintenance and works across all AION 2 Global servers.

There is no Founder's Pack requirement, no Twitch viewing requirement and no complicated event progression involved. You enter the code, collect the rewards and return to whatever enormous list of quests was currently demanding your attention.

What Does TAKEFLIGHTAION2 Give You?

The free launch bundle contains:

  • Small Od (Bound) x4
  • Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) x5
  • Combat Enhancement Scroll (Bound) x10

None of these items will suddenly turn a new character into an unstoppable Daeva, but they are useful consumables during early progression and there is little reason to leave them unclaimed.

The code is part of NC's thank-you celebration after AION 2 reached number one on Steam's worldwide Top Sellers list and topped the sales charts in 13 individual countries. That momentum is also reflected in the player numbers: we recently reported that AION 2 reached 171,530 concurrent Steam players during Advanced Access, more than doubling the peak from the Global Launch Scale Test.

How to Redeem TAKEFLIGHTAION2

The process is refreshingly straightforward.

  1. Log into AION 2.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Miscellaneous.
  4. Open Account.
  5. Select Enter Coupon.
  6. Enter TAKEFLIGHTAION2.
  7. Press Confirm.

The code can be redeemed once per account, and the reward items are bound, which means they cannot be traded to other players.

For European players, the code expires on October 14 at 08:00 CEST. North American players have until October 13 at 11:00 PM PDT.

Another Free Reward During a Busy Launch

TAKEFLIGHTAION2 joins an increasingly long list of things players can collect around Global launch.

Players who completed the pre-registration campaign can already claim the companions covered in our AION 2 free pre-registration rewards guide, while the launch period also includes AION 2 Twitch Drops with cosmetic and progression rewards.

If you are only just starting now, our AION 2 Before You Play guide remains a useful checklist for account rewards, classes, factions, servers and the other decisions worth sorting out before getting too deeply invested in your first character.

Server choice is particularly worth thinking about while populations are still settling. NC has already confirmed that free AION 2 server transfers begin October 14, although Advanced Access characters remain restricted to other Advanced Access servers and transfers cannot change faction.

The Code Works on All Servers

One useful detail is that TAKEFLIGHTAION2 is not limited to Advanced Access worlds.

NC states that the code works on all servers, which means players arriving with the October 5 free-to-play Global launch will also have time to redeem it. That gives new players more than a week after launch before the European deadline arrives.

It is not the most spectacular reward package AION 2 will ever distribute, but free consumables are still free consumables.

And unlike defeating a boss, reaching level cap or surviving an Abyss battle, entering twelve letters into a coupon box is an achievement most of us can manage before breakfast.

AION 2 launches into Advanced Access today, which means thousands of players will naturally celebrate by doing the most MMO thing imaginable: watching somebody else play it.

There is at least a reward for doing so.

AION 2's Global Twitch Drops system is now part of the launch period, with players already sharing images of the free outfit connected to the campaign. The cosmetic has quickly become one of the more talked-about launch freebies, particularly because it gives Global players another appearance option without buying one of the more expensive Founder's Packs.

It also finally puts NC's official AION 2 Twitch Drops page to practical use after the infrastructure appeared before launch.

Yes, You Need to Link Your Account First

The important part is not simply opening Twitch and leaving an AION 2 stream running somewhere behind seventeen browser tabs.

Your Twitch account needs to be connected to the account you actually use for AION 2. Steam players should pay particular attention here because NC specifically tells them to select the Steam icon when linking their account.

We already covered the complete setup in our AION 2 Twitch Drops guide, including account linking, claiming rewards and how progress works when moving between participating channels.

Once a campaign is active, Twitch tracks your viewing progress automatically on eligible streams. You do not have to remain with the same creator for the entire requirement, so switching between participating channels does not throw away the time you have already accumulated.

The Free Outfit Is Getting Plenty of Attention

The interesting part today is the cosmetic reward itself.

Players are already showing off the launch outfit, and the initial reaction has been remarkably enthusiastic for something being handed out through a viewing campaign. Naturally, fashion remains one of the few true endgame systems every MMO launches with completely functional.

There is also an amusing regional wrinkle. Players familiar with the Taiwan version have pointed out that the same or equivalent outfit was previously distributed there extremely cheaply or effectively free. Global appears to be using Twitch instead, turning the cosmetic into part of the launch marketing campaign rather than simply placing it directly into everyone's wardrobe.

That fits neatly with NC's broader launch strategy. War for Atreia already makes Twitch activity part of its scoring system, and the competition itself puts 60 creators into six Elyos and Asmodian Legions during the opening weeks of Global service.

NC therefore has a fairly obvious reason to give ordinary players something for watching.

War for Atreia Is Part of the Launch Push

The Twitch campaign is closely tied to a much larger creator push surrounding AION 2.

We first covered War for Atreia when NC announced the two-week faction competition. Since then, the six Captains and full creator teams have been revealed, with North America, Europe and Latin America each fielding an Elyos and an Asmodian Legion.

That event begins alongside AION 2 Advanced Access on September 30 and continues through the October 5 free-to-play launch.

Even players with absolutely no interest in watching streamers argue about faction superiority therefore have a reason to keep an eye on Twitch during the launch period.

Do Not Forget the Other Free Launch Rewards

Twitch Drops are also separate from AION 2's other launch rewards.

Players who completed the pre-registration requirements can receive free companions, which we covered in our guide to AION 2's free pre-registration pets. Founder's Pack bonuses are separate again, as are any future event rewards.

Our AION 2 Before You Play checklist covers the various account jobs worth completing around launch, because there are now enough free pets, Twitch connections, server choices and platform accounts involved that starting an MMO occasionally feels disturbingly similar to completing paperwork.

Still, a free outfit is a free outfit.

And in AION, where wings and fashion have been serious business since 2009, looking good while waiting for the next dungeon group is practically a core mechanic.

AION 2 Pre-Registration Rewards: How to Get Two Free Pets Before Launch

AION 2 is only days away from permanent progression beginning, but there is still one very easy piece of launch preparation that players should not forget. NC's global pre-registration campaign gives players two free companion pets simply for signing up through the official AION 2 website. There is no Founder's Pack requirement, no purchase involved and no reason to leave free launch rewards sitting on the table.

Everyone who completes the official newsletter registration receives Pagati as a guaranteed companion. You then get to choose one additional pet from four options: Konutin Worker, Papis, Black Smoke Murute or Silver Blade Rotan. Both rewards are intended to become redeemable when the global service launches.

If you have already worked through our AION 2 Before You Play checklist, this was the first thing on the list. If not, it takes considerably less time than choosing a class, server or faction.

What Are the AION 2 Pre-Registration Rewards?

NC's global campaign gives newsletter subscribers two companion rewards:

  • Pagati – guaranteed for everyone who qualifies
  • One selectable companion – Konutin Worker, Papis, Black Smoke Murute or Silver Blade Rotan

Pagati does not replace your second reward. You receive Pagati plus one of the four selectable pets.

That distinction is worth making because it is very easy to glance at the reward artwork and assume you are simply choosing one companion from a larger list. You are not. Pagati is the fixed reward, while the second slot is your choice.

NC originally revealed the rewards alongside AION 2's global Summer Game Fest campaign and later showed the pets through official pre-registration footage. The current global registration page remains the place to sign up.

How to Pre-Register for AION 2

The process is refreshingly simple.

  1. Go to the official AION 2 global website.
  2. Find the newsletter or pre-registration section.
  3. Enter the required registration information.
  4. Confirm that you meet NC's age requirement and accept the required data-use terms.
  5. Complete the registration.

The official form currently requires players to confirm that they are at least 18 years old and agree to the necessary personal-data terms.

Adding AION 2 to your Steam wishlist may also appear as an option during the process, but this is important: Steam wishlisting is not the same thing as completing the newsletter registration.

Wishlisting helps Steam notify you when the game becomes available. The newsletter registration is the part connected to the companion rewards.

You Do Not Need a Founder's Pack

The pre-registration pets are not a Founder's Pack bonus.

AION 2 launches as a free-to-play game, and the newsletter campaign is separate from the three paid Founder's Packs. You can register for the free companions even if you intend to wait until the October 5 free launch rather than entering through Advanced Access on September 30.

If you are considering a Founder's Pack, decide which platform you actually want to use before spending money. Our Steam vs PURPLE guide explains why pack entitlements and launcher choice should be sorted out before checkout rather than afterward.

But none of that affects whether you can sign up for the pre-registration pets.

Free player? Eligible.

Standard Founder? Eligible.

Ultimate Founder with enough cosmetic wings to require their own wardrobe? Also eligible.

Which Free Pet Should You Choose?

This is where we would resist the temptation to turn a free launch reward into a twenty-column optimization spreadsheet.

Your selectable options are:

  • Konutin Worker
  • Papis
  • Black Smoke Murute
  • Silver Blade Rotan

If one clearly appeals to you visually, that is a perfectly reasonable basis for choosing it.

AION 2's pet system is larger than a simple cosmetic collection, but Global is launching with a modified progression model compared with Korea and Taiwan. We have already seen meaningful regional changes across gear, crafting, percentage bonuses and several long-term systems. That means old regional advice about which pet provides the mathematically perfect early-game value should be treated carefully.

Our recommendation is simple: claim the entitlement now, then make the final selection using the Global client and whatever confirmed pet information is available when redemption opens.

Do the Pets Give Gameplay Bonuses?

AION 2 treats pets as part of a broader collection system rather than purely decorative followers, so pets can have progression value beyond simply looking cheerful while you dismantle half your inventory.

However, exactly how the Global launch version handles every pet bonus is something we would rather verify in the permanent client than copy blindly from Korean or Taiwanese data.

That is a recurring theme with AION 2 Global. Our Global vs Korea comparison already found substantial differences in progression and stat systems during the Launch Scale Test.

So yes, pets matter. But no, we would not choose your free launch companion solely because a six-month-old Korean spreadsheet says it is 0.7 percent better in a particular build.

When Do You Receive the Rewards?

NC says both companion rewards are redeemable at launch.

What the company has not fully explained yet is the exact delivery method.

We do not currently have final Global instructions confirming whether the pets arrive through:

  • in-game mail
  • an account reward menu
  • a coupon or redemption code
  • another launcher-based claim system

NC also has not published a precise claim window telling players how long the rewards remain available after launch.

That means the safest approach is obvious: complete the registration now, then watch the official account and launch notices for the final redemption instructions.

Is There a Pre-Registration Deadline?

NC has not published a clear fixed deadline for the Global newsletter campaign.

The registration form remains available now, but “still open” should not be translated into “will definitely remain open until October 5.” Pre-launch campaigns can close before servers actually go live.

If you already know you are going to play AION 2, there is very little benefit in waiting.

It is free. It takes a couple of minutes. Do it while you remember.

Pre-Registration Is Separate From Twitch Drops

Another easy point of confusion is Twitch.

AION 2 also has a separate Twitch Drops system for Global players, with launch-period rewards connected to eligible streams and War for Atreia.

Those rewards have nothing to do with the newsletter pets.

Newsletter registration gets you Pagati and your selectable companion. Twitch Drops require a linked Twitch account and active viewing campaigns.

You can, and probably should, set up both before launch if you want to collect the available free rewards.

Steam Wishlist, Pre-Registration and Founder's Packs Are Three Different Things

AION 2 currently gives players several pre-launch actions that are easy to mentally merge into one big registration process.

They are actually separate:

  • Newsletter pre-registration: free companion rewards
  • Steam wishlist: store notifications and visibility
  • Founder's Pack: paid Advanced Access, Membership and pack-specific bonuses

Completing one does not automatically complete the others.

This distinction becomes especially important for players assuming that buying a Founder's Pack automatically registers them for every promotional reward. NC has not said that it does.

If you want the pets, complete the newsletter registration.

Two Free Pets for Two Minutes of Work

There are plenty of complicated decisions surrounding AION 2 launch.

You need to choose between Elyos and Asmodians. You need a class. Groups need a server plan. Founders need to choose Steam or PURPLE. Gear progression has enough overlapping systems to make our PvE gear progression guide necessary before anyone has even permanently looted their first dungeon weapon.

The pre-registration rewards are considerably simpler.

Sign up for the official newsletter.

Get Pagati.

Choose one additional companion.

Then go back to worrying about which of AION 2's eight classes is going to consume the next several hundred hours of your life.

Free pets are rarely the complicated part of an MMO launch. We should probably enjoy that while it lasts.

AION 2 Twitch Drops Explained: How to Link Steam and Claim Launch Rewards

AION 2 is preparing Twitch Drops for the global launch period, which means there is one more thing worth sorting out before September 30: make sure your Twitch account is linked to the correct AION 2 account. NC's official Twitch Drops portal is now live, and the company has confirmed that Global players will be able to earn in-game rewards simply by watching participating AION 2 streams during active Drops campaigns.

The system itself is straightforward. Watch an eligible stream, accumulate the required viewing time, claim the Drop through Twitch, and the associated reward is sent into AION 2. The slightly more important detail concerns Steam players, because NC specifically warns them to choose the Steam option when linking their accounts.

That sounds obvious. It is also exactly the sort of thing somebody will forget until three hours into a Drops campaign.

How AION 2 Twitch Drops Work

Twitch Drops are rewards tied to specific viewing campaigns. When NC activates a campaign, participating Twitch channels will be marked as eligible for Drops. Watching those streams fills a progress bar based on the amount of viewing time required for each reward.

NC explains the process on the official AION 2 Twitch Drops page. Each Drop has its own watch-time requirement, and progress can be checked through the Twitch Drops Inventory.

Once you reach the required amount of viewing time, Twitch will notify you that the reward is ready to claim.

The important word here is claim.

Simply leaving an eligible AION 2 stream running does not necessarily complete the entire process. Once the viewing requirement has been met, you still need to claim the reward through Twitch while the campaign is active.

How to Link Your Twitch Account to AION 2

The safest option is to connect everything before the first major launch campaign begins.

  1. Go to the official AION 2 Twitch Drops page.
  2. Select Link Your Twitch Account.
  3. Sign in with the account you actually use to play AION 2.
  4. Authorize the connection to your Twitch account.
  5. If you play AION 2 through Steam, select the Steam icon when choosing your account platform.
  6. Confirm that the linked account is the one you intend to use on the Global servers.

That Steam-specific instruction comes directly from NC. AION 2 launches globally through both Steam and PURPLE, and the two platforms have separate purchase and account considerations. We have already broken those differences down in our AION 2 Steam vs PURPLE guide.

If you plan to use Steam, do not casually link a different NC account simply because it appears first. Drops are considerably less exciting when they arrive somewhere you never play.

You Do Not Have to Watch the Same Streamer the Entire Time

This is one of the more useful parts of Twitch's campaign system.

NC confirms that you can switch between participating channels without losing progress toward the same Drop. If you watch one eligible creator for 30 minutes and then move to another creator participating in the same campaign, your progress continues rather than starting again from zero.

That will be particularly convenient during War for Atreia, where 60 creators are spread across six competing Legions.

You will therefore be able to follow different sides of the creator competition without feeling as though Twitch has legally required you to remain loyal to one streamer for the rest of the evening.

The important restriction is that the stream you move to must also be participating in the same active Drops campaign.

Where Can You Check Your Twitch Drop Progress?

Twitch tracks active campaigns through the Drops & Rewards Inventory.

That page shows the rewards currently available, how much viewing progress you have accumulated and whether a completed reward still needs to be claimed.

NC says players who miss the pop-up notification can still claim completed rewards through the Drops Inventory for the duration of the campaign.

That makes the Inventory page worth checking occasionally rather than assuming everything happens automatically in the background.

Who Can Earn AION 2 Twitch Drops?

There is one major regional restriction:

AION 2 Twitch Drops are for Global server players.

NC explicitly says players on the Korean and Taiwanese services are not eligible for the Global Twitch Drops program.

That distinction makes sense because AION 2 Global has its own progression, economy and account environment rather than simply sharing one enormous service with Korea and Taiwan. The Global version also differs significantly from the Korean build, making separate promotional rewards unsurprising.

If you are playing Global through Steam or PURPLE, you are the audience these campaigns are designed for.

What Are the AION 2 Twitch Drop Rewards?

This is the part where patience is currently required.

NC has launched the Twitch Drops infrastructure and confirmed that future campaigns will provide in-game rewards, but the complete launch reward table has not yet been published.

We therefore do not have an official list showing exactly how many minutes or hours must be watched for each launch reward, or whether those rewards consist of cosmetics, consumables, pets, titles or something else.

War for Atreia complicates things slightly because NC has already confirmed exclusive viewer rewards and follow-up Twitch Drops during the creator event. That competition begins on September 30 and runs through October 15, with official broadcasts scheduled throughout the launch period.

But “Twitch Drops are coming” is not the same thing as every War for Atreia broadcast automatically having Drops enabled.

Players should always check whether a campaign is actually active before assuming an hour spent watching counts toward a reward.

War for Atreia Gives Twitch Drops a Natural Launch Window

The timing is fairly obvious.

War for Atreia begins on September 30, exactly when Founder's Pack Advanced Access starts. The first official broadcast, First Strike, is scheduled for that day, followed by War Desk broadcasts on October 5 and October 12 and the final Ascension broadcast on October 15.

NC has already said that follow-up Twitch Drops will be used during the campaign, so War for Atreia gives the company a ready-made reason to keep launch viewers moving between AION 2 streams.

It also means Twitch Drops could become useful even for players who have no particular interest in watching a conventional esports tournament. War for Atreia is taking place inside the actual live MMO, with creators leveling permanent characters, gearing up and competing across ordinary AION 2 systems.

Watching them may therefore be equal parts entertainment, launch research and an opportunity to collect free things. MMO players have historically shown remarkable enthusiasm for at least one of those categories.

What Happens After You Claim a Drop?

NC says claimed Twitch rewards are delivered directly into the game once the accounts are correctly connected.

If you have claimed a Drop through Twitch and the reward does not appear, the first things to check are:

  • that your Twitch account is linked to AION 2
  • that you linked the correct Steam or PURPLE account
  • that you actually pressed Claim in the Twitch Drops Inventory
  • that you are playing on the Global service
  • that the campaign is still active and the reward was successfully completed

If everything is correct and the item still does not arrive, NC directs Global players to AION 2 Support.

Can You Earn Drops Before October 5?

Potentially, yes.

AION 2's full free-to-play launch is October 5, but Advanced Access begins September 30, and War for Atreia starts on the same day.

That means launch-related Twitch activity begins before the free release.

Whether every reward earned during that period can be claimed immediately by players who are waiting until October 5 will depend on the rules attached to each individual campaign. NC has not yet published those campaign-specific details.

There is no reason, however, to wait until launch day to link your account.

Link Your Account Before the Drops Start

That is probably the most useful advice here.

Twitch Drops are simple when everything is connected correctly and disproportionately annoying when they are not.

The official AION 2 Drops portal is live now. Steam players have a dedicated linking option. Global accounts are eligible. Viewing progress can move between participating channels, and the upcoming War for Atreia campaign already has follow-up Drops planned.

The only major piece missing is the exact launch reward list.

NC can announce that whenever it likes.

Your account, however, can already be ready.
